A dramatic police pursuit involving a stolen pickup truck and trailer came to a halt east of Highway 2 near Airdrie on Wednesday.
The incident began around 11:20 a.m. when Okotoks RCMP received an alert from Calgary police about a dangerous driver fleeing officers.
The suspect vehicle—a white and black dually pickup truck towing a beige Outback travel trailer—was believed to be stolen and was last seen in the rural Okotoks area near 388 Avenue.
RCMP officers began patrolling the area and found the vehicle around 20 minutes later, speeding eastbound on Dunbow Road and dangerously passing other traffic. Officers followed the vehicle covertly, supported by CPS surveillance, K9 units, and HAWCS helicopter.
