WASHINGTON, DC – A robbery in Northeast DC’s 6th District has sparked an active police investigation after a suspect fled the scene Wednesday afternoon, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. in the 300 block of 40th Street NE. Police are searching for a suspect described as a Black male, approximately 5’9″ tall, with a medium build, believed to be between 20 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing all black clothing and a green hat.
