MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Montgomery Police Department has charged a third suspect following a deadly shooting on Oct. 4 that claimed two lives and injured 12 others.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire near Bibb Street and Commerce Street around 11:31 p.m., discovering multiple victims, including 17-year-old Jeremiah Morris, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Shalanda Williams, 43, later died from her injuries at a local hospital.
The police have charged 19-year-old Javorick Whiting with attempted murder. Whiting was apprehended on Thursday by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and is currently held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
