Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti has been mentioned as a potential replacement for James Franklin at Penn State .

However, the Nittany Lions will have to look elsewhere for their new head coach after Cignetti agreed to a massive new deal to remain as the head coach of the Hoosiers on Thursday.

Curt Cignetti has agreed to an eight-year contract with Indiana that will pay him approximately $11.6 million per year, the university has announced .

The deal runs through November of 2033.
