DESOTO CO., MISS. (WMC) - In Thursday’s board of education meeting in Desoto County, the family of the victim in the Lindsey Whiteside case was adamant that the school district needs to make a change.
Whiteside is a former youth pastor and high school basketball coach who pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a girl and was sentenced to three years of house arrest on Monday.
District Attorney Mathew Barton announced Monday that character references were written by nine teachers and one vice principal in the Desoto County School District, and another one from Board of Education Chairwoman Michele Henley.
