Missouri’s Young Republicans chapter is condemning their counterparts in Kansas for making “abhorrent and disgraceful” comments during private online chats.

An article published this week by Politico says leaders and several members of the Kansas Young Republicans made racist, sexist, and antisemitic comments in a series of encrypted online chats with other Young Republicans in New York, Vermont, and Arizona. It also states that one of the Kansas Young Republican leaders praised Missouri Young Republicans because their party leaders, “didn’t like LGBTQ-plus people.”

Missouri Young Republicans is hitting back. In a statement posted to Facebook , the group said it’s “outraged” and calls the comments from the Kansas group chats “abhorrent and disgraceful.”
