49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has had a rough season. He hurt his shoulder and toe in the first game against the Seahawks and missed two games. He came back in Week 4 against the Jaguars but got hurt again and had to sit out two more games. Now he’s back at practice, but heach coach Kyle Shanahan is being cautious and not rushing his return.

The coach was disappointed after losing the Week 6 matchup against the LA Rams. He doesn’t want to miss the playoff spot this year. In this situation, he’s also willing to rest Purdy a little longer. He said Mac Jones will most likely start in the Week 7 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
