ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The man accused of killing his girlfriend learned in his first court appearance Thursday that he will have to wait weeks before learning whether he gets bond.

Cecil McCrary is accused of killing his girlfriend, Tange Davis, and burying her body in Atlanta.

McCrary allegedly strangled Davis to death.

During his first court appearance, McCrary uttered a few words in his defense. He is denying responsibility for Davis’ death.

Cobb County Police said Tange’s son told them he last heard from his mother on Oct. 9. two days later, the son tracked his mother’s car to a grocery story parking lot in Mableton.
