Stevie Markovic’s two goals and an assist lifted 15th-seeded to a 4-0 victory over 18th-seeded Belleville in the preliminary round of the Essex County Tournament at Underhill Field in Maplewood.

Riley Rucker and Vivian Kubany scored a goal apiece for Columbia (5-10-1), which used three second half goals to pull away.

Columbia will play second-seeded and two-time defending ECT champion Livingston, No. 13 in the NJ.com Top 20, in the first round on Tuesday.

Belleville falls to 4-11.
