President Donald Trump refiled his $15 billion defamation lawsuit against the New York Times, a month after a federal judge struck down the original filing and harshly criticized its political tone.

The amended complaint, filed late Thursday in federal district court in Tampa, Florida, focuses on statements made by the Times, three of its reporters and publisher Penguin Random House that Trump’s lawyers called “malicious, defamatory, and disparaging” about his business achievements and the origins of his wealth in the 2024 book “Lucky Loser” and various Times articles.
