SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The Augustana hockey will have lots more home games this year now that they are a full-fledged member of the CCHA and playing a complete conference schedule.

But they also have a tough non-conference schedule which started with a split at Duluth last weekend and #15 Arizona State coming to MIDCO Arena this weekend for the home opener Friday and Saturday.

Ironically, it’s Augie’s first home game against a ranked opponent on their home ice.

Garrett Raboin, Augie Hockey Coach says, “It’s a nationally-ranked opponent. Really strong, really deep. I’m really excited to see how our guys play on Friday night and where we’re at.”

The Vikings have fared well against nationally-ranked teams in their young history, including a win 2 years ago at Arizona State.
