WASHINGTON — (TNS) U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to "go in and kill them" if Hamas continues to murder people in Gaza despite a ceasefire deal, he wrote on his Truth Social platform on Thursday.

"If Hamas continues to kill people in Gaza, which was not the Deal, we will have no choice but to go in and kill them," Trump wrote, referring to the recently signed ceasefire deal between the Palestinian Islamists and Israel that he helped broker.

Trump did not specify which forces would then enter the Gaza Strip to carry out the threat.

Prior to his post, reports of killings in the Gaza Strip by Hamas fighters had caused international outrage. However, Trump initially reacted on Tuesday with a certain understanding.
