The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released its report on the Titan submersible incident which gained widespread attention in June 2023.

The report highlights that faulty engineering and lax safety tests were key factors leading to the tragedy. The NTSB found that the Titan submersible had several structural defects in its hull, compromising its strength.

The implosion resulted in the deaths of OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush and four others onboard. They were descending into the Atlantic Ocean to view the wreckage of the Titanic.
