Construction of a bridge in Balidihi village under Ayatpur panchayat of Banapur block in Khordha district of Odisha remains incomplete, causing severe difficulties for residents. The old bridge was reportedly demolished eight months ago for the new structure, but work has yet to resume.

As per reports, continuous rainfall has worsened the situation, making it difficult for villagers to step out of their homes, with ambulances and other vehicles unable to reach the area.

Waterlogging on the makeshift road left villagers wading through ankle-deep water to move around. Nearly 200 families have been affected, as the incomplete bridge cut off easy access to essential services.
