On Friday at 2:02 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a freeze warning valid for Saturday between midnight and 9 a.m. for Upper Hood River Valley.
The weather service says, "Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 to 32 degrees expected."
"Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing," describes the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender outdoor plants from the cold. Consider temporarily moving outdoor potted plants indoors if they are sensitive to cold temperatures. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly."
