Red Sox Report Card Week continues at the Herald with a starting rotation that ran the gamut from A+ to F in 2025.

The Red Sox had 15 pitchers make at least one start this season, a sign of the organization’s newfound depth, as well as the toll that injuries and ineffectiveness took on a team whose pitching staff was hanging by a thread at season’s end.

For clarity’s sake, several pitchers fall under the ‘Incomplete’ category, and openers like Brennan Bernardino will be graded in the reliever report card.

Bello made enormous strides in his third full major league season. Over one relief appearance and 28 starts, including his first complete game, the homegrown righty pitched to a career-best 3.35 ERA and held opposing batters to a .237 average and .669 OPS.
