Michael Absher, the former CEO of the Flat Rock nonprofit Only Hope WNC , which had offered services for homeless children, was charged Oct. 15 with three counts of human trafficking of a child victim.
He was previously charged with 20 other counts related to sexual offenses against children.
Absher “unlawfully, willfully and feloniously did cause a minor (identified only by their initials) to be held in sexual servitude," according to the Oct. 15 indictment and related documents.
The initials of three different alleged victims are included in the indictment.
Two of the counts allegedly happened in May 2024 and the third in July 2024, it says.
Absher was arrested at the end of July 2025 on charges of statutory sexual offenses with a child 15 years old or younger and was originally
