Week 6 featured some noteworthy games, including one out of the Central Mass. ranks as Uxbridge saw its 31-game winning streak snapped with a 39-33 overtime loss to Auburn. There were intriguing upsets across the board as well, with Brockton toppling previously-ranked Weymouth, 19-6, most notably.
Usual heavy hitters Catholic Memorial, St. John’s Prep, Springfield Central and King Philip have led the pack for the majority of the season, with some newcomers (Barnstable, Winchester) joining them in the hunt for the Herald’s top spot. 1. Catholic Memorial: It got a bit testy for a quarter or so, and coach John DiBiaso even took a big hit on the sideline during last week’s game
