In Tripura’s Bidyabil village three Bangladeshi cattle smugglers were killed in a clash with local villagers on Wednesday.

On Friday, the Bangladesh government condemned the incident and demanded a fair investigation from the Indian government.

Bangladesh said this was a violation of human rights. India must punish the culprits. Every person, regardless of their country, should have security.

In response, the Ministry of External Affairs stated that all three were killed while attempting to steal cattle. India has appealed to Bangladesh for help in erecting barriers to prevent cross-border smuggling.
