A nanny has asked for advice on addressing a financial situation with a newly divorced parent.

In a post on the babysitting subreddit , the original poster (OP) explained that they used to be a full-time nanny for a family until 2021 when they moved into another full-time career. After the switch, they would still watch the children for on "random date nights and weekends."

"Unfortunately, the parents went through a horrible divorce, leaving the mom with essentially bare bones, especially financially. She also got unexpectedly let go from her job," OP explained, adding, "I have been asked by the mom to babysit here and there recently."
