A tragic incident in an Iceland car park has resulted in the death of an 86-year-old woman. The collision occurred in Aspley, Nottingham, at approximately 2.20pm on Monday. Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, where the elderly pedestrian had sustained serious injuries. She was transported to the hospital for treatment. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, she was pronounced dead in the early hours of Wednesday. Nottinghamshire Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. Detective Constable Liah Lane from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit stated, "The woman's family is being supported by specialist officers following this tragic incident. They have asked for privacy at what must be an extremely difficult time." Authorities are particularly interested in any dash-cam footage or eyewitness accounts that could aid their investigation.
