CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Bank of America is facing a new lawsuit that accuses the bank of financially supporting Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking operation.

It came just one week after Democrats on Capitol Hill demanded BofA hand over any records of business with Epstein.

“We know that there were a billion-and-a-half dollars’ worth of suspicious financial transactions that were flagged by the banks,” said Maryland Congressman Jamie Raskin.

In the lawsuit filed Wednesday, an unnamed female plaintiff claimed the financial institution supported and profited from Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking, arguing the bank knowingly accepted deposits from Epstein that were tied to illegal activity.
