Residents of Kibbutz Kramim in southern Israel welcomed released hostage Omri Miran on Friday, after he was discharged from the hospital.

As he arrived, Miran was surrounded by cheering residents. He told the crowds and gathered media that he was looking forward to beginning a new chapter.

"There are memorials today and funerals this past week. My heart goes out to everyone. And now it's truly time to return to life," he said.

Miran, who was abducted from Kibbutz Nahal Oz during October 7, 2023 Hamas assault, was released from Hamas captivity on Monday.

He will now live at Kibbutz Kramim with his family, where many evacuees from Nahal Oz were rehoused.
