With the help of a concerned hunter, conservation officers located a dead swan near hunting stake 17 in Zone A of the wildlife area, ministry officials said. A second swan was then seen swimming in the area with a broken wing and was later confirmed dead.

“The Ministry of Natural Resources takes this matter seriously and is working to identify those responsible,” a press release stated.
