Mumbai on Friday recorded the second warmest October day since 2019 as the India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s Santacruze observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius, which was 3.3 degrees Celsius above normal. ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW VIDEO

The IMD’s coastal observatory at Colaba also recorded the highest October day temperature in the last five years at 35.6 degrees Celsius, which was 2.4 degrees Celsius above normal. On October 16, Colaba recorded a day temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius, which was the highest day temperature recorded since 2020.
