The temporary bridge carrying Route 107 over the river between Lynn and Saugus, Massachusetts, has reopened following emergency repairs that had been expected to last several more days.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said in an advisory that the bridge reopened to traffic at noon Friday. It had shut down around 7 p.m. Wednesday for emergency repairs after a field inspection revealed cracking on bridge deck panel assemblies.

Crews worked "around the clock" during the closure to replace or repair 16 affected deck panel assemblies, MassDOT said.
