Estherville’s annual Fright Hike to be held at Fort Defiance State Park

ESTHERVILLE, Iowa (KTIV) - Grab your shoes and prepare to see some ghouls!

The Estherville Chamber of Commerce’s annual Fright Hike is expected to take place on Saturday, October 18, at Fort Defiance State Park, located at 174th Street.

According to the Estherville Chamber of Commerce, the Fright Hike is for one night only. The haunted hike is for all ages and costs $10 to take a half-mile hike through the state park’s haunted woods.

The Chamber of Commerce says the half-mile hike is all outside and follows rugged terrain in the shape of a loop.

The event begins at 6 p.m. for anyone to take part in a less scary hike while it is still light outside. This time is for anyone who is either anxious or unsure of the hike. The Estherville Chamber of Commerce says if the hike’s “scare actors”
