ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A 17-year-old has been certified as an adult in the 2024 deadly stabbing outside of Jennings Middle School.

Darnell Warner, 17, of the 2400 block of Hord Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri, has been certified as an adult, according to the St. Louis County Family Court. Warner has been charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Warner is being held on a $500,000 cash-only, no 10% bond.

The charges come in connection with alleged events on March 12, 2024, that resulted in the death of Justin Brooks, 14, of the 8700 block of Emilie Avenue in Jennings, Missouri.

According to court documents, on March 12, 2024, around 3:05 p.m., the St. Louis County Police responded to the 2400 block of Hord Avenue in reference to a “large disturbance.” When
