Jammu & Kashmir, Oct 17: The festival of Dhanteras is celebrated with great devotion on the Trayodashi (13th day) of the Krishna Paksha in the Kartik month. In this regard, Mahant Rohit Shastri, Jyotishacharya and President of Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, has informed that in the year 2025, the Trayodashi tithi will begin on Saturday, October 18 at 12:20 PM and will end on Sunday, October 19 at 1:52 PM.

As per scriptures, the worship of Dhanteras should be performed during the Pradosh Kaal. Since October 18 falls on Trayodashi and also includes the Pradosh Kaal, the festival of Dhanteras will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18.
