Jimmy Thelin is delighted to see Jayden Richardson flying high at St Mirren after two difficult years at Aberdeen . ‌

The full back was brought to Pittodrie by Jim Goodwin back in the summer of 2022 but made just 24 appearances before being bombed out on loan by his successor, Barry Robson to Stockport County and then Colchester United. ‌

Richardson left the Dons by mutual consent in August 2024 but is back in the Premiership with the Buddies after arriving in Paisley during the summer window from Boreham Wood. ‌

Richardson has racked up three goals in his first 13 appearances in all competitions for Stephen Robinson’s side.

And while Thelin only worked with the Englishman for a short time, he is chuffed that the defender has been able to kick-start his car
