Victoria’s Secret has a new creative director — they poached Adam Selman from Fenty, which makes sense, I suppose, given that Fenty is a huge competitor and had had massive success — but, despite all the brand’s constant talk about reinvention and blah blah blah , it still certainly feels like Victoria’s Secret of yore. No one expects VS to suddenly turn into, like, Panties by Margiela or something, and there is something to be said about brand continuity. But this feels SO of a time to me that I wonder if there is any way around it feeling inherently dated?
