New owners are sought for a trendy west end sandwich bar and café on Glasgow’s Great Western Road .

Rico’s, close to bustling Byres Road and the beautiful Botanic Gardens, is up for sale. The café is surrounded by popular venues and restaurants, including Òran Mór, Cail Bruich, Naked Soup and Bread Meats Bread.

Rico’s currently offers popular focaccia sandwiches, and agents from the Scottish Business Agency said this offering could be continued, but that the venue is primed for a "new concept".

The premises features a sizeable basement used for food preparation, kitchen and storage. Catering equipment includes a turbofan oven, mixer, microwave, electric hob and ice cream maker. The coffee machine is rented.

Demand is strong for small, manageable coffee units with low overheads.
