A New Jersey woman pleaded guilty to forging student refund checks and pocketing approximately $75,000 from Rowan College of South Jersey, officials said Friday.

Jennifer Wilson, 40, of Westville, a former school employee, used her position to issue fraudulent student refund checks and deposit them into her personal bank account, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office said.

She did so by forging students’ endorsements in a scheme carried out between February 2023 and March 2024, investigators said.

On Friday, Wilson pleaded guilty to third-degree forgery in connection with the scheme, according to Gloucester County Prosecutor Andrew Johns.
