DES MOINES, Iowa —
A Des Moines family reunited with the first responders who helped them deliver their baby girl at home after an unexpected early arrival.
Parents Taylor and Adrianna were preparing to head to the hospital around 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 21, believing they had ample time for the delivery. That's because when they had their first child, Adrianna was in labor for 37 hours.
"I'm going to the garage, like 'I'm going to get the baby's car seat ready, we got so much time,' and then she's just screaming," Taylor said. "I get inside and she's like, 'When is the ambulance coming? I need them right now.' So, I called dispatch back."
