HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - A Perry County woman was charged with child neglect after authorities say she failed to transport a juvenile to receive additional medical care, resulting in a surgery to remove an organ.
According to an affidavit, Beth Coyle, 48, took the juvenile to a medical clinic on August 22 for an examination. The physician reportedly advised Coyle that the the juvenile had an abnormality that could have been cancerous, and told her she needed to take the victim to Norton's Children's Hospital. The physician also said they gave Coyle $20 for gas to transport the child to the nearby hospital for treatment.
However, authorities say Coyle did not take the child to the emergency room, and on August 26 the child was taken to the hospital for treatment to remove the affected orga
