HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- One person is in custody after allegedly hitting a Holyoke police cruiser and leading police in two states on a pursuit.
Holyoke Police said that a suspect, who was wanted in connection with a Beech Street larceny, was seen around 10:30 a.m. Friday. The suspect was reportedly seen driving a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Connecticut.
Officers tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver allegedly struck a police cruiser head-on and “nearly struck several officers and sped away,” according to police.
The driver allegedly fled onto I-91 south. Mass. State Police told Western Mass News that they assisted Holyoke Police with a pursuit along I-91 and the stolen vehicle reached speeds of approximately 95 miles per hour. Their pursuit was terminated once
