FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. —

A Florida father was arrested after his 5-year-old daughter ate gummy candy containing cannabis, according to deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

Ka'Juan Harris, 29, has been charged with child neglect with great bodily harm.

"I don't want to talk. I want my lawyer," Harris told deputies as he was being arrested, body camera footage showed.

According to investigators, Harris waited several hours before seeking help for his daughter. The girl's mother, who shares custody, told deputies she had asked Harris to take the child to the hospital. Instead, Harris allegedly texted her that the girl would "just sleep it off."
