The former head of a training program for Alberta law enforcement officers is facing sexual assault allegations.

RCMP on Friday announced they had laid a charge of sexual assault against Christopher Clark, the former director of the Law Enforcement Training Centre in Lac La Biche.

Clark, 42, was the subject of an investigation that began in June after a member of the program said Clark assaulted them the previous year.

Clark was arrested and released on conditions Oct. 7. He was removed from his role shortly after he was identified as a suspect, RCMP said.

Investigators believe there may be other alleged victims and urged them to contact Lac La Biche RCMP.
