LSU junior linebacker Whit Weeks is doubtful to play this Saturday against Vanderbilt (11 a.m., ABC), according to ESPN.
Weeks, per the report, has been limited at practice throughout the week. The star linebacker is expected to attempt to warm up before the game, but he "faces long odds to play."
LSU coach Brian Kelly said on his radio show Thursday that Weeks is dealing with a bone bruise on his ankle. The injury is an aftereffect of the ankle injury he suffered against Baylor in the Texas Bowl against Baylor.
Kelly also said he was a game-time decision to play this Saturday.
"They're making progress," Kelly said on Thursday, also including fifth-year senior edge rusher Jimari Butler as a game-time decision for Saturday. "We're seeing that there's a chance that these guys could
