PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man was supposed to be undergoing court-ordered psychiatric treatment before he allegedly shot his teenage brother and killed his stepfather at their north Phoenix home earlier this week, according to court documents released on Friday.

Milad Rafie, 28, is accused of the double shooting that happened around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday at a home near 19th Street and Aire Libre Avenue when a 17-year-old called 911 to report that his brother had shot him.

Police quickly responded and found a man lying in the street in front of a home, dead from a gunshot wound. He’s since been identified as 59-year-old Najbulla Rafie, the suspect’s stepfather.
