KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

More than 10,000 runners are expected for the Garmin Kansas City Marathon. Runners will take on the full 26.2 miles, the half-marathon, the 10K or the 5K on Saturday morning.

The marathon and half-marathon start at Frank A. Theis Park at 7 a.m. The 10K starts at 7:30 a.m. and then the 5K starts at 7:45 a.m. Advertisement

The marathon route takes athletes past historic Kansas City landmarks and through popular neighborhoods like Waldo, Westport, 18th and Vine and more.

The marathon route stretches as far north as Sixth Street before heading all the way down to 75th Street.

Along the route, Kansas Citians will cheer on the 10,000 runners as they make their way through the neighborhoods.
