Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has announced once again her office will be extending the deadline for the $720 million National Opioid Settlement with eight drug makers.
Eligible municipalities now have until Nov. 5 to apply.
The extension gives local governments in Michigan additional time to sign on to receive direct payments. Nessel is encouraging those that have not yet joined the settlement to complete their participation forms by the deadline as Michigan governments stand to receive up to $24.5 million.
