TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Authorities responded to a serious crash at the intersection of Grant and Alvernon in Tucson on Friday, Oct. 17.
The Tucson Police Department said a motorcyclist was hit and suffered life-threatening injuries.
At 5:15 p.m., the TPD said the intersection could be closed for several hours.
This was the 17th serious crash 13 News has reported on this month. In those accidents, 15 people have been killed.
On Oct. 1, 52-year-old Jorge Alberto Mejia was hit and killed while walking in the 1100 block of South 6th Avenue in Tucson . The TPD said the driver who hit Mejia fled the scene.
On Oct. 2, a teen boy was hit while riding a scooter in the 8000 block of North Silverbell Road in Marana.
