LOW MOOR, VA (LOOTPRESS) – The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office has opened an investigation after a card skimming device was discovered on an ATM at Love’s Truck Stop in Low Moor.

Deputies say the device was removed and collected as evidence.

Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage to determine who placed it there.

Authorities believe the skimmer was installed sometime between October 14 and October 16, 2025.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, management at Love’s Truck Stop has been fully cooperative during the investigation.

Officials are urging anyone who used the ATM during that time frame to closely monitor their bank accounts and report any suspicious activity to their financial institutions.
