BOSTON —

Boston police are looking into four convenience store robberies that happened over the last week, all involving stolen cash registers.

According to investigators, the suspects pretend to make a purchase and then swipe the register while the clerk opens it.

The robberies occurred at:

853 River St. in Hyde Park

59 Fairmount Ave. in Hyde Park

739 Parker St. in Roxbury

186 Heath St. in Jamaica Plain

The suspect is described as wearing a black, puffy jacket with the hood up, black pants, and a black surgical mask, according to Boston police.

Authorities say no weapons were displayed during any of the robberies.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Boston Police Department or call 911 in case of an emergency.
