A Montgomery County woman is hoping to thank an anonymous couple who chose her family to receive an unexpected gift of kindness.

On Wednesday morning, Aaron Williams-Higgins was coming back from a walk with her dog when the front desk receptionist at her apartment building told her someone left a card for an active military family.

"It was just a super generous act of kindness," she said.

Inside the card was an encouraging message thanking Williams-Higgins' family for their service and $500 in cash.

Williams-Higgins told NBC10 that she can't get over the idea that someone chose her and her husband, who is an active military member, for this random act of kindness.
