The Powassan Voodoos saw defenceman Marcus Krats lead a rush and strike moments into overtime in a 4-3 triumph over the Hearst Lumberjacks Friday in an action-packed Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League affair at the Powassan Sportsplex.

The visiting Lumberjacks opened the scoring near the midway point of the first period when Dylan Garvin picked off a play in the neutral zone then dished off a cross-ice feed over to Cole Shepherdson, who went down the left wing and wired a shot over the shoulder of Voodoos’ starter Cole Vreugdenhil.

Pulling even at 14:02, Krats fired a pass over to Dylan Rousselle in the right circle that he took to the net where he made a couple of moves and tucked the puck into the open side.
