WEST NORRITON TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in Montgomery County are investigating a shooting that left six people injured outside a Wawa on Friday night in what authorities say involved rival motorcycle gangs.
The incident occurred around 9:12 p.m. at the Wawa located along West Main Street near Trooper Road in West Norriton Township.
Chopper 6 footage showed a heavy police presence at the scene, with officers cordoning off an area near the gas pumps.
According to police, six individuals were hospitalized following the shooting. Their conditions have not yet been released.
In a statement, West Norriton Township Police said, "At this time, the incident appears to be isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the public."
Residents were asked to avoid the area.
