SEATTLE — Saturday's No Kings rally is about more than signs and marching. It's a show of force against immigration policies supporters are calling oppressive.
Every day, the 50th Street bridge over I-5 bears a message. On Thursday, a sign read "No Kings! No Fools! Oct 18," looking ahead to Saturday's rally .
"I just live near by and noticed it and had to do something," Shelley Sutton said. Sutton was holding a yellow sign that read "Due Process."
"Holding up a sign," it's important to stand up, speak out while we still can," Ron Posthuma said.
Sutton added immigration issues were personal for her.
"My dad was an immigrant, the man I live with is an immigrant," she said. "He carries around his passport all the time."
