CHEYENNE — For Sarah Hannes, all it took was some vodka, potato chips, a PowerPoint and love for her three sons to quit her job of 20 years and start anew.
When Hannes left her job in higher education at Laramie County Community College about a year ago, her motivating factor was simply wanting to have more time to spend with her kids, Dylan, who is 16, and Riley and Brady, who are both 13.
Hannes said although she loved her old job and the people she worked with, she knew it was time to move on. This wasn’t easy, she said, because she wasn’t too sure how to quit a job.
So, she did what anyone would do: She created a PowerPoint presentation and brought her boss’ favorite food and drink — potato chips and vodka.
